Hamutarou is hamster who is owned by a middle-schooler named Loko-chan. Hamutarou one day escapes from his cage to check out the new home that they recently moved to. As Hamutarou went on into the side of the bed, and he can't go back because of his body being stuck. It was a deadend, but Hamutarou decides to scratch bite the wall, and made a hole outside. As Hamutarou went outside he met up with a hamster named Koushi. He follows Koushi but Koushi was scared, so he ran. After Hamutarou caught up with him, Koushi's sunflower seed went missing, Hamutarou helped Koushi out, as they found his sunflower seed, Koushi broke the tunnel down. And met up with another hamster named Taisho.
