The Monkey King was one of my childhood heroes who was always rebelling against the powers that be. He was the hero who rebelled against Heaven. Those forces that tried to make him less than he could be. His boundless spirit made him participate in many adventures. Each of them showed their boundless adventurousness, never abandoning their spirit type. This is not Sun Wukong's Journey to the West. The loud soundtrack, strangely distorted, overly intense graphics, and somewhat harshly distorted story lens take away from this heroic tale. In my opinion there is not much to empathize with in this story.
