According to an urban legend, setting off fireworks at a deserted airfield will call in the "summer ghost," a spirit that is able to provide answers to any queries. Each of the three teenagers—Tomoya, Aoi, and Ryo—has a distinct motivation for showing up one day. Ayane, the ghost, says she can only be seen by those "who are about to touch their deaths." Tomoya is driven by the ghost and her message to start going to the airfield on a regular basis in order to find out why she is there.
