With the mysterious disappearance of the Justice League, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olson investigate the Hall of Justice but are soon haunted by a ghost, prompting them to contact Mystery Inc. On their way to Metropolis, the gang discovers that the city has been overrun by villains as a result of the missing Justice League. Barely escaping to the Daily Planet, they meet up with Lois and Jimmy (who declares Daphne to be his girlfriend, despite her protests) and explain the fictitious situation to them.
