"Infatuation Reborn" (鼓動する遺言) is the twenty-first episode of To Your Eternity, and the premiere of its second season that premiered on the morning of the twenty-third October of 2022 online.
Synopsis
It has been four long decades since he had lost his good friend and elderly mentor Pioran to a ripe old age. The immortal shapeshifting being Fushi spends his years in solitude on Sarline Island. Before Fushi, who should have decided that he would never see anyone again, a precocious nine-year-old girl from the Yanome Tribe, Hisame, appears. she says "I am the granddaughter and reincarnation of Hayase."
In order to save innocent people from the threat of the relentless Nokkers, which have begun to move again, a reluctant Fushi decides to act together with Hisame and her fellow "Guardians" of the cult founded by the twisted, obsessive Hayase herself to act as Fushi's everlasting devoted "lovers" and followers.
Plot
A middle-aged Fushi has been living on Sarlnine Island all alone since the death of his elderly good friend Pioran. To survive the mundane decades of solitude and isolation, the white-haired middle-aged immortal man has been eating the pickled remains of Nokkers he has defeated so far. The Beholder, suddenly appears before him and informs Fushi that he has been on the island for forty long years.
Fushi firmly assures his "maker/parent" figure that he is fine making it on his own and that he does not need any allies or friends by his side under the guise of forever losing them to his relentless adversaries. Upon being told that more and more Nokkers are attacking and killing hundreds of thousands of innocence, Fushi prepares to leave the peace and quiet of Sarlinine Island to help humanity again. As he is about to depart to the mainland, he is approached by a precocious young girl who introduces herself as Hisame, the granddaughter of Hayase who she claims was in Fushi's debt. Confused, Fushi wonders what became of the girl's mother, Hayase's daughter,
