A sullen manga artist with special powers becomes immersed in a mystery he once thought was solved. When the unthinkable happens it is up to him to change the course of history.
Satoru Fujinuma. 29 years old.
As the result of a unique phenomenon (Revival) that he somehow causes, Satoru is involved in a traffic accident. Fortunately, his injuries are light, but his worried mother, Sachiko, temporarily moves in with him. While walking back home from the supermarket with his mother, Revival happens again to Satoru. This time, he makes it back home without incident, but Sachiko suddenly gives him the disturbing news of an attempted but failed abduction in front of the supermarket. Later, when Satoru returns home from his job, he witnesses an unbelievable sight.
