As Shaka explains the story of how this technology connects to a kingdom during the Void Century, he states to Robin that Ohara's destruction 22 years ago was due to them learning about this ancient kingdom which the World Government had been trying to erase its existence from history, to which anyone would be eliminated for learning this information. Shaka then reveals that he visited Ohara after its destruction and encountered the giants led by a bandaged giant to save what's left of Ohara's books and Dragon who vowed to form an army to oppose the World Government's tyranny.
