The Story of Saiunkoku Season 2 (episode 35)

Shuurei Kou and her friend, Eigetsu To, a humble boy prodigy, have been bestowed with the role of co-governors for Sa province, one of the Saiunkoku's eight provinces. They form an agreement to transform the county into a research center with the purpose of providing overdue prosperity to the area. As Shuurei ventures to the capital in search of authorizations to commence the ambitious operation, a pandemic instigates turmoil amongst the people, disrupting the recently acquired tranquility of Sa province. Shuurei relies on Eigetsu to manage the situation until her arrival while seeking aid from her allies to discover a suitable treatment. Meanwhile, Eigetsu contends with personal conflicts from his past, granting adversaries an opportunity to sabotage Shuurei's jurisdiction. Becoming a government representative was the ultimate aspiration for Shuurei, but the task is arduous as she is the first woman to take on this role.
