She works extremely hard to become the kind of flawless woman that anyone would desire as their wife and daughter-in-law. Yu Ru has at last realized that she must control her own fate and that she cannot depend on others to exist. She picks up business skills from her mother-in-law and eventually gains her place in the family. She even manages to tame her husband, turning him from a drunken playboy into a brave, honest, and upright man. This is the tale of a poor and helpless woman who matures into a strong, intelligent adult who can stand up for herself and doesn't need anybody else to survive.
