Solo Leveling (나 혼자만 레벨업, Na Honjaman Lebel-eob) is a Korean webtoon series written by Chu-Gong and illustrated by Jang Su-Rak and Gi Si-Ryeong. It follows the adventures of Sung Jinwoo, a young and infamously incompetent Korean hunter, in his quest to become the strongest hunter of them all. In a world where hunters — human warriors who possess supernatural abilities — must battle deadly monsters to protect mankind from certain annihilation, a notoriously weak hunter named Sung Jinwoo finds himself in a seemingly endless struggle for survival. The story of Solo Leveling involves people who go into dungeons to fight monsters for money. Our main character, Jinwoo, lives a hard life. His mom's hospital bills need to be paid, as does his sister's school fees. Jinwoo doesn't like dungeon raiding but he does it to help his family. Solo Leveling is originally based on a South Korean web novel written by Chugong which gained even more popularity when it was turned into a digital comic. The webtoon version was later serialized into a printed form for KakaoPage and has since been released as physical issues in English as well.
