My Virtualahan Journey is a spin-off from being unemployed Mom to Mom Working from home. Before I start, let me introduce myself. I'm Beverlyn Alentejo from the solo parent community. I lost my husband a few years ago, back in 2015, due to the complications of his disease, Nephrotic Syndrome. I met Virtualahan at my lowest point in life where I'm unemployed, still mourning for my mom's death, and desperately looking for work from home job. I attended the Virtualanihan round table discussion regarding the impact of COVID-19 to the Philippine Outsourcing Industry and Online Filipino Workers. At the said discussion, Coach Ryan mention that Virtualahan offers scholarships to train PWDs, solo parents, out of school youth, former or recovering addicts, and people deprived of liberty, to gain digital skills for online employment. Then I found myself browsing Virtualahan's webpage, and later on, I apply for the scholarship. The next day, I got scheduled for an Interview with Coach Roza. Then in God's perfect time, April 5, I'm officially part of Team 33 or now known as QuaranTEAM33 Dreamers. I finish the training with flying colors not because I received the community leadership award but because I gain a lot of knowledge from Graphic Design, Video Editing, Social Media Management, E-commerce, and Lead Generation. I even learned my inner strengths and capabilities I never knew I had. I'm very thankful to all the coaches that make it possible. As of today, I am so happy working with Spectrum Impact Sourcing as a Lead generation specialist and being one of the staff of Virtualahan.
