  Kitchen Smoke Over the Mountains

  46 Views Premium

Backpacker Shen Ji falls off a cliff and transmigrates into the body of a deep-mountain hunter girl, left to survive with her six-year-old adopted sister Qiao Qiao. Relying on her wilderness survival skills, she gathers wild vegetables, sets traps, and smokes fish and meat, not only surviving the famine but turning the mountains into a treasure trove with her sister. When she goes down the mountain to repair their wooden cabin, she discovers that processed mountain goods sell for more money. Using her exceptional skills, she makes mushroom powder, ice jelly, and steamed cakes that become huge hits at the market. A year later, she has renovated the cabin and expanded the vegetable fields, and life is on track. At the autumn market, a traveling merchant buys out her entire stall and leaves an appointment for the future. Shen Ji calmly continues tidying up — life in the mountains is long, and the cooking smoke has just begun to rise.
