My family owns a house in the city center. We missed out on a large compensation package during an old city renovation because of a small hill behind our house. Now, our property is a triangular area surrounded by commercial districts, residential complexes, and roads. Yet, in the apocalypse, this very spot becomes a natural sanctuary. A series of urgent beeps from an alarm clock jolted me awake. I instinctively turned off the alarm, rolled over, and prepared to go back to sleep. The next moment, I snapped wide awake: an alarm clock? Wasn't I at home, about to be bitten by zombies?
