New Dragon Gate Inn

During the Ming Dynasty's Wanli period, court politics are in chaos. Eunuch Lu Anning controls the government with dark schemes. Legend says the Queen of Luodian's tomb contains a secret medicine that can bring the dead back to life. Lu Anning wants this medicine to restore his manhood. He frames Minister Fu Yungao's family for treason to get a treasure map, leading to their execution. Fu Yungao's grandson Fu Xiaoyao escapes to Dragon Gate Town. Lu Anning uses spy Yan Pianpian to steal half the map from Fu Xiaoyao, then continues hunting him. Jin Doudou is the last holy maiden of the Luodian tribe, whose blood is needed for the secret medicine. Ten years ago, her tribe was destroyed and she found refuge at Dragon Gate Inn with innkeeper Jin Xiangyu. When Song Bailing and his grandson arrive at the inn fleeing Lu Anning, Jin Doudou helps them escape. She meets Fu Xiaoyao during a chase, and they become allies against their common enemy. After various betrayals and adventures, including being deceived by the handsome spy Yun Tianxiang, Jin Doudou and Fu Xiaoyao work together to find the treasure. They are captured by Lu Anning and forced to lead him to the tomb. Inside the dangerous tomb, after many trials and the sacrifice of their protector, they discover the treasure is just ordinary Chinese items - belongings of a Chinese princess who married into a foreign kingdom and missed her homeland. The tomb collapses, rain falls, and the two lovers return home together.
