The island of Clayborne, though it lies far south of the continent of Felnarc, is actually composed of five small nations that are incessantly at odds with one another. A girl named Nikola lives a modest life in a small village in the most remote parts of the Kingdom of Bayle, the island's smallest and most tranquil nation. She is going about her daily business of gathering firewood when she is confronted one day by a large dragon, a species thought to only exist in the highest alpine regions. The village is about to be attacked when a man by the name of Haga dashes into view. Haga is a member of the top-secret investigative team known as the King's Seekers. After meeting Haga, Nikola is so captivated by him and his travels that she decides to venture out on her own and discover the real nature of her world. Despite the fact that every day is essentially the same, Nikola has never once felt bored with her peaceful life...
