Day 1 of the “learning to draw in 30 days” challenge.
I decided to start this journey and honestly show my progress from absolute zero, without filters or “perfect” artworks. Today I drew Dee from Metal Family — a character I’ve liked for a long time, both visually and in terms of personality. I spent about 1.5 hours on it, working on proportions, trying to understand the face shape, the eyes, and the overall mood of the drawing.
It was difficult. At some moments I really wanted to quit and erase everything because the result didn’t match what I had in my head. But that’s exactly why I started this challenge — to learn, make mistakes, and improve step by step. I’m not an artist and I’m not aiming for perfection, but I want to prove to myself that consistent practice actually works.
