Kamei Madoka is the top student at Benisakura High School. He is cheerful and popular, leading his classmates to victory, and he has never lost a fight. However, after a certain incident, he decided to "never fight or date again," and although he was the only one to repeat the year, he continued to live a peaceful life with his classmates. One day, Sato Mitsuru, the top student at rival Shiraiwa High School, which had supposedly signed a ceasefire two years earlier, comes to visit Madoka, causing tension between the two schools. Mitsuru is quiet and at first glance it's hard to tell what he's thinking, but he ends up moving into the second floor of Kameya, a candy store run by Madoka's grandmother, and as they spend time together, Madoka is touched by Mitsuru's kindness and strength.
