Many other youtubers had chosen to upload this event in a different language. But you know some of the VAs did get their lines recorded including Corina and Alejandro along with pretty much every NPC like Dunyarzad who we haven't seen since Dehya's Character Quest. Even Sorush who we've only had in a World Quest before has a voice now! So along with the fact that Alejandro is a fellow youtube gamer it didn't sit right with me to just change to a different language. It would have been one thing if it was like my Zenless playthrough which I started out in Japanese. But I chose English when I started playing Genshin so English is where I stay.
I will say I was worried that this was going to happen. This is Nahida's birthday. The girl's already had it rough for 500 years. It's a real shame they couldn't make this work. Of course now my concern is extending to the Archon Quest. We have Act V left to go and if Mihoyo does it the right way it could be an explosive finale! To have that done in old school silent film format would be very unpleasant and I do not want to have a fully Japanese/Chinese/or even self-voiced Act V to end off a mostly voiced E
