Starting with the duel between Luffy and Usopp, to the disappearance of Robin, and finally the crew saying goodbye to their ship in tears, the chapter of the first ship of the Straw Hat crew, the Golden Merry, was completely reset in the movie. When Luffy, Zoro, Nami and the rest of the crew set sail to find the legendary treasure One Piece, the Golden Merry is also seen as a member of the Straw Hat Pirates on their adventure together.
