Tens of thousands of people play the life-or-death game "The New Gate" online. The most accomplished veteran player, Shin, is the reason the other players will eventually be let go from the game. After taking down the final boss, Shin feels like he can finally make it out until a strange burst of light blinds him. When he wakes up, 500 years have passed and he is back in the game's world!
