Rudo resides in a floating town's slums, where the impoverished struggle to make ends meet while the wealthy have luxurious lives and just throw their trash into the abyss. One day he is wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to an unthinkable punishment: banishment off the edge with the rest of the trash.
