In an alternate 2023, Your Forma—a magical “smart fiber” technology—has become a staple of everyday life after being created to treat a widespread outbreak of viral encephalitis. The invasive feature of these handy gadgets is that they record every sound, image, and even sensation experienced by the user. Searching for evidence to solve the most difficult cases and probing people’s memories through Your Forma are all part of the workday for electronic investigator Echika Hieda. The problem is, she’s so good at her job that her assistants are literally losing their minds trying to keep up with her. Eventually, the higher-ups assign Echika an equal partner, Harold Lucraft, a smart but cunning android, after adding too many assistants to the hospital. Can this unlikely couple overcome their shared anxieties and stop a deadly technological disease from spreading across the world before it's too late?
